The Adventures of Cody the Collie

Wednesday the 29th September 2004.

Today, daddy took me to the local country park to play.

A Country park is a very big park, with lots of trees, and birds.!

Some Country parks even have a lake or river in them full of ducks and fish. !!

To get to the park, Daddy has to put me on my lead, and put me in the car.

I have to be on a lead, because sometimes I like to run off and see what's on the other side of the road, or chase a cat, or smell a lovely smell, and Daddy does not want me to get hurt by a car or get lost on the way to the park.

Once we are at the park, Daddy lets me off the lead, because he knows I will be safe at the park, and I can run around for hours and have lots of fun. !!!

Our park has a lake, and lots of fields, water, trees, and birds and things for me to look at and smell.

Daddy also throws the ball for me, I love chasing after a ball, and catching it, and bringing it back. !!

I have just had a swim in the lake, and I am all wet, but Daddy will dry me with a towel later.

I love smelling things, because I can tell which doggy has been there before me.

Now I am back home, and very tired after running around and chasing the ball for ages, so I am going to have a little sleep now before tea.
